Application

N6-Cbz-L-lysine benzyl ester hydrochloride is an amino acid derivative and chiral organic synthetic intermediate. Its main use is as a molecular skeleton involved in the synthesis of chiral drug molecules and bioactive molecules. In addition, the carboxyl group in N6-Cbz-L-lysine can undergo esterification reactions in the presence of amino groups. The benzyl protecting ester group in the molecular structure can be easily removed under acidic conditions, releasing the free carboxyl group. Importantly, the amino group in N6-Cbz-L-lysine can be easily converted into an azide group, which can introduce this key fragment of N6-Cbz-L-lysine into chiral drug molecules and bioactive molecules through click chemistry.
