Application
H-TYR(TBU)-OTBU·HCl, also known as N-tert-Butoxycarbonyl-L-tyrosine tert-butyl ester hydrochloride, is a commonly used protected amino acid in peptide synthesis. In peptide synthesis, it is often used as the amino acid derivative that connects to the resin in solid-phase peptide synthesis, providing a convenient, stable, and recoverable linker method. By using H-TYR(TBU)-OTBU·HCl, the hydroxy group of tyrosine can be effectively protected while ensuring the smooth connection of amino acids during peptide chain synthesis.
Additionally, H-TYR(TBU)-OTBU·HCl can also be used as a coupling reagent for the reaction of activated esters or acid chlorides with amino groups to prepare various peptides, proteins, antibodies, hormones, and other biologically active substances.
