Application

Eltrombopag olamine is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist primarily used in the treatment of thrombocytopenia in patients with chronic immune (idiopathic) thrombocytopenic purpura. It is particularly indicated for those who have had an insufficient response to corticosteroids, immunoglobulins, or splenectomy. In addition to its use in hematological disorders, eltrombopag olamine has also been studied for its potential in the cardiovascular field and has demonstrated strong inhibitory activity against multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
